Is There a Point to Having 2 Level 20 PvE Rangers?
I've played many professions during my time on GW, but Ranger always ends up to be my favorite. My guild has 7 Rangers, and only about 11 people are in it. I have only 2 slots left, one for my soon-to-be PvP character and another for the character I want to start on.
I already have a level 20 ranger, but I don't like its hair and name... should I make another one? And do you guys have more than one level 20 ranger?

My first character was a ranger, but if you're looking to make a new character, make a Paragon. They are the utter definition of amazingness.

I have recently done something similar. I had a level 20 Ranger, already beaten Factions on my way to beating Proph and I got tired of his hair and face. So I made a new one. However I made him in Proph, went through Pre-Searing and everything. While it is not for some, I really am glad I did it. I am a lot more involved playing this character, learned how to be a better ranger as well. Think about it this way. If you don't like him/her anymore, you will end up never playing with that character. You might as well invest in making a new character. Naturally, make sure you like how he/she looks before getting too far.

My first character was also a ranger and I run him a lot of the time with a Para 2nd. I wouldn't think there's any point to having two characters of the same class.

Personally, I don't see the point in having two of the same professions. I'd prefer not to split progress and skills between two characters in different spots, when I could just work on one and have the same as both would.
I currently have every profession excluding Assassin and Ritualist, for no reason in particular, and a Perma-Pre.

I recently did close to the same thing as you're asking. I made a second Necromancer because I didn't like the look of the one I have- I also made the second one a female for the better armour choices. If you don't like the appearence of yours, I would make a second one. I didn't really see the point in remaking my original Necromancer since he's 30 months old, depends on if you really want to put the work into getting your new ranger to the level your current one is.

Anything you want to do with the second id fell would be better put into the first.
But if you feel you need another one then its worth it .

Than you'd be better off just making a ranger, since you're effectively gimping the class.

try making a new one, no reason to keep two, but i would keep the old one until you max out the new one and are sure you want to keep it.

Paragon....over Ranger? Psh. Gimme a break.
I say go for making a second Ranger. If you're willing to put the effort into a nicer looking one with a better name, then sure, there's no problem with doing so. We all like to look our best, do we not?

Well, I don't see the point in having two characters of the same prof. Just seems silly you know?
But I do have friends that have made characters of the same prof, just a different sex to have acess to a different dance and armor selection-which I can see-but I'd never waste a slot and money on making a character of the same prof (unless I plan on doing a storage character lol-but then I'd never invest the time to level them up to 20).

I have two rangers .. I keep the First one for Mini pets/Mule.. I didn't like the skin/hair of my first ranger, and when I came back to playing GW I wanted a fresh start.
It's pretty fun to replay an old class after doing many others..

Put my name under "Wouldn't do it personally, but understands why others would".
I'm generally careful to create characters that I know I'll like the looks of. Sometimes, though, what gets made at 3 AM doesn't look nearly as nice the next day. Other times, it takes a week or three for the little details to really start to bug you. Either way, it makes you want to play a new character. On the 'morning after' occasions, it's usually not a big deal - no major loss in deleting and rerolling. After 2-3 weeks of solid playtime, though, there's generally a fair bit invested into the character.
For me, that's enough to justify continuing to play the character. Heck, I played an ugly as all hell gnome for 2 years in WoW because I had him max leveled before I realized how bad he looked. For other people, that investment is enough to, while rolling a new character, keep the old one around as a mule / rarely played alt.
In the end, if you've got an extra character slot, and like the class, you've got nothing to lose by adding a second one.

Ummmm no.
There's nothing wrong with duplicate characters, but it's probably to your best interest to try out other classes.

I would say other prof unless you don't care about playing others. Go ahead and make a R and wait for 1st, 2nd and 3rd bday gifts!

Is there a point to having 2 fully maxed/finished of ANY character... no.
Can you do it... If you want too.
